Most community support meetings in Central Indiana are based on the 12 Steps, like as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Also, I encourage you to check out Dharma Recovery, a community support meeting with a more Buddhist perspective, at JRNY Counseling on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. Connecting directly with others who have similar experiences helps us realize we’re not alone. Also, meeting others with similar issues helps to reduce the feelings of stigma many people with substance use disorders experience.”
Lean on Friends Who Show They’re Willing to Go on the Journey with You
